El temor de los cientificos es que se una el Swine flu A-N1H1 con el Bird Flu B-H5N5 y se cree un super virus, es por esto que al detectarse el A-H1N1 en Hong Kong llegaron al estremo de sellar un hotel...

bien, no soy microbiologista, pero basicamente debido a que este tipo de virus muta muy rapidamente, necesitas una persona que haya tenido la gripe aviar B-H5N1 Y la sobreviviva y que se contagie con la nueva gripe A-H1N1 , y en su cuerpo se mezclarian esas diferentes cepas y el se convertiria en el paciente cero de una nueva epidemia, ya que la nueva cepa de gripe tendria las capacidades de ambas cepas: la de afectar a los humanos (H1N1) y la alta tasa de mortalidad (H5N1). eso es lo que buscam TPTB...

Me Pregunto Que Es lo mas efectivo contra este virus?? ya esta confirmado el primer caso en colombia aunque yo no creo que sea solo un caso.

pues ante todo lavarse las manos lo mas posible... y evitar ante todo el contacto fisico besos y abrazos...

ademas de NO TOMAR ASPIRINA , por que baja la fiebre y hace que el virus se reproduzca en los pulmones, le de a la persona shock anafilactico de tanto virus y deje de respirar... hay que dejar que la fiebre siga su curso!!!

Se que es muy contagioso, pero algunos mexicanos cuentan que en realidad los medios hacen mas ruido del lo que es

ahora en estos dias la enfermedad ha perdido la popularidad y la gente esta mas calmada, ya no estan tan alarmados por aca en colombia. a lo mejor esto del H1N1 no dura mucho o si?

en realidad, se estan incubando 4 diferentes tipos de virus en el mundo en este momento:

-A-H7N9
-A-H1N1
-A-H3N2
-A-H5N1

A Tennessee flock of breeder hens being raised for Tyson Foods Inc was destroyed after tests showed the presence of mild avian influenza, Tyson said on Tuesday. The 15,000 birds showed no signs of illness and there appeared to be no threat to human health, Tyson said. The affected birds were at a contract grower in Lincoln County, Tennessee. The H7N9 flu antibodies found in the birds is not the more serious highly pathogenic H5N1 strain that was in Asia, Europe and Africa.

WHO is coordinating the global response to human cases of influenza A(H1N1) and monitoring the corresponding threat of an influenza pandemic.
Current situation

6 May 2009 -- As of 06:00 GMT, 6 May 2009, 22 countries have officially reported 1516 cases of influenza A (H1N1) infection.

Avian influenza – situation in Viet Nam - update 6

6 May 2009 -- The Ministry of Health has reported a new confirmed case of human infection with the H5N1 avian influenza virus. The case has been confirmed at the National Institute of Hygiene and Epidemiology (NIHE).

The case is a 23 year old woman from Quan Hoa District, Thanh Hoa Province. She developed symptoms on 16 April, was hospitalized on 21 April, and died on 22 April.

Investigation into the source of infection indicated poultry died of influenza A/(H5N1) around her household.

Of the 111 cases confirmed to date in Viet Nam, 56 have been fatal.

6 May 2009 -- The Ministry of Health of Egypt has reported a new confirmed human case of avian influenza . The case is a 34 year old female from Tanta District, Gharbia Governorate. Her symptoms began on 21 April and she was hospitalized at Tanta Fever Hospital on 21 April where she was started on oseltamivir. She is in a stable condition.

Infection with H5N1 avian influenza was confirmed by the Egyptian Central Public Health Laboratory on 23 April and subsequently confirmed by the U.S. Naval Medical Research Unit No. 3 (NAMRU-3).

Investigations into the source of his infection indicate a history of close contact with dead and sick poultry prior to becoming ill.

Of the 68 cases confirmed to date in Egypt, 23 have been fatal.
